We all know that it has been a strange winter here in Wisconsin, but that doesn’t stop most of us from
looking forward to Spring anyway!! Webster Education Foundation has already started making plans
and collecting prizes for our 7 th Annual Taco BINGO night. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 13,
2024. Once again, there will be dozens of incredible prizes for everyone from 5 to 100 years old! This
year, we are going to try something new. We will be selling tickets in advance for our Large/Special
raffle prizes. For those raffles only, you will need not be present to win! We are making plans to
streamline this event this year. We will are working to have smoother registration, more seating, better
acoustics and a little faster-paced fun!! Watch our Facebook page for information about our fantastic
BINGO and raffle prizes – Coming soon! If you have something special you would like to donate, contact
us at wef@webster.k12.wi.us, call us at 715-566-0165, or drop off at the Webster School District
Administration office. All proceeds from this event go directly back to needed projects in the district.
In other big news – WEF has turned ownership of the Webster Memorial Day Arts & Crafts Extravaganza
back to the Webster Area Chamber of Commerce. We are confident that the Webster Chamber will
support and grow this fantastic community event. For more information about the Webster Chamber,
the Craft Fair or to register as a vendor, check out their website at www.websterwisconsin.com.
During the Fall/Winter grant cycle, Webster Education Foundation was able to supply a few great things
to our Webster students and classrooms. Once again, WEF donated $5000 to the Webster Guidance
Counseling Department to be used for student leadership training and mental health initiatives. WEF
granted Ms. Ashley Schmidt – Middle School Student Support Coordinator, $2000 for a 2-year positivity
initiative program. WEF granted Mrs. Jill Spafford’s 2 nd grade classroom $480 for flexible seating and
$1000 to a project proposed by Mr. Ron Stelson, Middle School Principal, for furniture for the MS
Commons area. WEF donated $200 in gift cards for prizes for the February 1 st Tiger Tech night. WEF
became a Platinum level sponsor for the district’s new Hudl livestreaming platform and purchased a
smart TV for the high school concession stand that will link to the Hudl broadcast so those working
concessions can see the events live and be prepared for the crowd. Our WEF team sold concessions and
tested it out on Friday, January 19 th at the Webster vs. Frederic basketball game and it worked great!
In May, we will be reviewing scholarship applications and will award up to $6500 in Senior scholarships.
WEF is pleased to have a familiar face seated at our Webster Education Foundation Board table!
