Note from the Webster 1st Grade Team
Dear WEF,
Thank you so much for granting the needed funds to attend the field trip to Vista Fleet Cruise on Lake Superior. What looked like was going to be a rainy, windy day turned into a descent day with the sunshine even peeking out a few times! Lake Superior is the largest freshwater lake in the world! The students were excited to take in the spectacular scenery of the Duluth/Superior Harbor from the impressive 3 level Vista Star Cruise ship. The crew did an excellent job with our students sharing info and facts about the harbor and Lake Superior. The students enjoyed lunch on the boat and spent the rest of the afternoon playing at Bayfront Park. The first grade students and teachers are grateful for the experience.
Thank you again!
Mrs. Eckart, Mrs. Fish, Ms. Nightengale
2024 Scholarships
It was a fantastic experience at the Webster High School Senior Scholarship Banquet on May 8th! WEF was privileged to award 10 scholarships to some very deserving Seniors. The number of scholarships given this year was made possible, in part, by funding from the Charles and Eunice Tollander Foundation and the Danbury Lions Club (which dissolved this Spring and passed along 5 years of Tech scholarship $$ for WEF to distribute) in addition to the fundraising work of our WEF members.
We can all be so proud of our kids and our community. Last night, Webster Seniors received $153,000 in scholarship awards! Thank you to everyone who supports our students’ education! Great job, Seniors, parents and teachers!!! #TigerProud
