Here's a quick update on where things stand with the Webster Education Foundation Events for 2021:

The WEF board met on Wednesday, February 10th to discuss plans for the 2021 annual fundraising events. Regarding the 2021 Memorial Day Arts and Crafts Extravaganza - there are many uncertainties, including Webster School District restrictions on facilities/property use due to COVID-19 and no solid timeline on when those restrictions will be lifting, as well as questions about vaccination schedules and community impact. There is also a large construction project on the property and parking area used for the Craft Fair planned for this Spring. The board unanimously agreed to cancel the 2021 Craft Fair event on May 29, 2021. The board would like to publicly express their appreciation to Mary Nelson and the wonderful team of volunteers who will continue this work in 2022.

For some of the same reasons, Webster Education Foundation's Taco Bingo event will be postponed from the usual April date to a date in early Fall 2021 that is yet to be determined. Stay tuned for a Springtime "Free the Flamingos!" event!

Like many charitable organizations, WEF is struggling through this second year of COVID restrictions that limit fundraising abilities. If you are someone who is fortunate enough to be in the position to donate part of your stimulus dollars or contribute to our scholarship fund for 2021 in general, please consider a donation to WEF. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, so all donations are tax-deductible and appreciated now more than ever! Click on the Donation tab to print a donation form or you can drop off at the Webster School District Administration Office.

Stay well and thank you for your continued support!

Each year, graduating senior athletes honor a teacher or staff member that has mentored them throughout their school years at Webster. Each year, in between the girls and boys varsity game, each student talks about their mentor and honors them with a plaque.

Webster Education Foundation also honors each and every teacher and staff member at Webster with a gift certificate.  This year, we gave them a gift certificate to The Shop!  Thank You Kari Budge and The Shop family for your very generous donation!
